Active season

Season 1: Kord Breach

The first season of Escape from Tarkov. Classic wipes are gone: your main character, stash and Kappa are permanent. You can optionally create a separate seasonal character and start fresh with modifiers.

Patch: 1.1.0Start: August 3, 2026End: December 7, 2026

The traits you pick for a seasonal character are called "modifiers" in game, but most players call them perks: they are the same thing. This page lists all 6 forced global modifiers, 33 optional perks with their point values, 12 season achievements and the battle pass rewards. Use the planner below to spend your point budget, build your seasonal character and instantly see which achievements it unlocks.

Which Character Should You Play?

You are not required to create a seasonal character. The three progression paths work independently:

These modifiers are always on for seasonal characters: you cannot disable them and they cost no points.

No Insurance

Cannot insure items before raid.

Black Division

Black Division operatives can be encountered on specific locations.

No FiR for Hideout

Seasonal Character Modifier (Perk) Planner

You start with 0 points when creating your seasonal character. Negative modifiers earn points, positive ones spend them, and your points can never go below zero. You cannot change the picks while playing: the only way is to reset the character and start over, which wipes everything. So try your combination here first, then build it in game.

Positive modifiers: spend points

Negative modifiers: earn points

Achievements This Plan Unlocks

With your current picks, 0/7 achievements have their modifier requirement met. Green ones are obtainable with this plan.

Seasonal Rewards

These are separate from the battle pass: they live in the game's "Seasonal Rewards" tab and unlock by completing special Kord Breach tasks. The reward is not handed to you directly, it opens up as a trade offer, meaning you can buy it once unlocked. Some also require a character level on top of the task.

Battle Pass Rewards

The battle pass is free and every reward is earnable through play. Progress is shared between seasonal, PvP and PvE profiles, and what you earn unlocks permanently on all your characters.

How do you earn these rewards?

  • 1.Progress comes from TerraGroup documentation found in raids. It is a new loot type that works like quest items: everyone can pick it up even if someone else already did.
  • 2.You can collect it as both PMC and Scav, in every game mode. It also drops from Black Division operatives you kill.
  • 3.Documentation comes in eight types, each tied to three locations: which type drops where is in the table below.
  • 4.Each reward requires a specific type. You can trade any 5 documents for 1 of the type you need, so collecting on the wrong map is never wasted.
  • 5.There is a daily cap of 25 documents. The counter is shared across modes, with a per-mode limit of 10 in PvE, 15 in PvP and 25 in the seasonal mode.
  • 6.You also earn documentation by completing Kord Breach missions.

The reward list is 12 pages and 53 rewards in total. Claiming a reward takes two things: submitting the documents it asks for, and having claimed 4 rewards from the previous page (3 on page 12). The first page has no such prerequisite. Rewards also come in two classes: an "item" goes straight to your inventory, a "trade offer" opens up as a trader offer instead. The document cost climbs steeply: the crate on page 1 wants 3 documents across 2 types, while the rifle on page 12 wants 29 across 5.

We are not listing every reward one by one: most of them are filler such as dogtags, emblems and posters. A few examples of the ones worth chasing look like this.

Radian Weapons Model 1 FA 5.56x45 assault rifle

Two more weapons are in the list but no image for them exists anywhere yet, so we did not open cards for them: the Howa Type 20 5.56x45 on page 6 (11 documents across 4 types) and the Norinco QBZ-191 5.8x42 on page 12 (29 across 5), both opening as trade offers. On the cosmetic side there is a Black Division shirt, tattoos, unique earbuds and weapon paint kits; those are not inventory items in game, so they have no images either.

Where to Find TerraGroup Documentation

Every battle pass reward is claimed by handing in documentation, and each reward asks for a specific type. All 8 types are tied to three locations each, so you can pick your raid by what you need. Documentation works like quest items: picking one up does not remove anyone else's, it drops for both PMC and Scav and in every game mode. Black Division operatives you kill also carry it.

Daily cap: 25

The counter is shared between modes: 10 in PvE, 15 in PvP, 25 in the seasonal mode. Collect 10 in PvE and switch to seasonal and you have 15 left that day. The remainder is shown in the documents section of the battle pass screen.

Exchange: 5 → 1

In the exchange section of the battle pass screen you can hand in any 5 documents for 1 of the type you need. Collecting on the wrong map is never wasted, it just costs more.

Wildcard: Classified documents

Bought from the Expansions Hub and usable in place of any other type. This is the way out when the type you need refuses to drop.

Frequently Asked

Does my main character get wiped when a season starts?

No. Your main PMC, stash, hideout, trader progress and Kappa stay exactly as they are. A seasonal character is entirely optional.

Do I lose what I earn on my seasonal character when the season ends?

The character itself is reset, but season rewards stay unlocked permanently across all your characters. In Kord Breach this is not limited to cosmetics: trade offers for Black Division equipment open up on your main as well.

Do my battle pass rewards survive the end of the season?

Yes. When the season ends or you reach Prestige your game profile is reset, but every reward you claimed from the battle pass stays with you and works in all game modes. Three things do not carry over: currency, documents and crates. Black Division crates are also not synchronised between modes, they stay only in the mode where you got them.

How do I get Kappa on a seasonal character?

Even if you already own Kappa on your main, a seasonal character starts without it. You either pick the Kappa Protocol modifier or complete the Collector chain again.

Perks or modifiers, are they the same thing?

They are the same. In game the traits you pick when creating a seasonal character are officially called modifiers, but players commonly call them perks. We use both terms interchangeably on this page.

Can I change my modifier picks later?

Not while playing, there is no respec in the usual sense. The only way is a full reset: for 100 TarCoin in the Expansions Hub you can wipe your seasonal character and pick modifiers again. But everything really does reset (level, stash, hideout, tasks), so it is starting over rather than a cheap change of mind. TarCoin can be looted from valuables spawns in raid or bought with money.

Which maps drop battle pass documentation?

There are 8 documentation types and each is tied to three locations. Blueprints and technical documentation: Interchange, Factory, The Labyrinth; Financial documents: Customs, Streets of Tarkov, Interchange; Medical documents: The Lab, Ground Zero, The Labyrinth; PMC personnel files: Reserve, Lighthouse, Icebreaker; User documentation: Ground Zero, Streets of Tarkov, The Lab; Test documentation: Shoreline, Woods, Icebreaker; Technical documentation: Shoreline, Woods, Lighthouse; Project documentation: Factory, Reserve, Customs. Documentation works like quest items: you can still pick up your own copy even if someone else already took one.

How many documents can I collect per day?

25 documents per day at most. The counter is shared between game modes and each mode has its own ceiling: 10 in PvE, 15 in PvP, 25 in the seasonal mode. If you collect 10 in PvE and then switch to seasonal, you have 15 left for that day. The remaining amount is shown in the documents section of the battle pass screen.

Can I exchange documents for a different type?

Yes. In the documentation exchange section of the battle pass screen you can hand in any 5 documents and get 1 of the type you need. Because types convert at that rate, surplus from the wrong map is never wasted, it just costs more: it is usually the fastest way to complete the one document a reward is missing. If the type you need refuses to drop, Classified documents from the Expansions Hub also count in place of any other type.
