What to Do After a Wipe: Seasonal Character Guide
A seasonal character starts at level 1 with an empty stash and an unbuilt hideout. Insurance is disabled in season mode, so every piece of gear you lose in the first days is really gone. Your priority is to open tasks with cheap but effective gear, build the cheap hideout stations and save money for a bigger stash.
1. Start with a cheap gun
In the first days every trader is at level 1. According to game data 28 guns can be bought at trader level 1. The lowest recoil builds among them are SMGs: the Saiga-9 from Skier gets down to 29 vertical recoil for about 39k roubles, and the PP-19-01 from Prapor gives 40 vertical recoil for about 43k. 2. Open the first tasks in order
Pick up every task that is open at level 1 from all traders. Tasks give both XP and trader reputation, and trader level 2 needs both a PMC level and reputation. Check which item each task asks for in the task list; look before you sell anything that needs to be FIR.
3. Start the hideout with the cheap stations
Most hideout stations ask for little money and a few items at level 1. According to game data:

Generator is a prerequisite for many stations such as Medstation 2, Nutrition Unit and Intelligence Center, and Workbench is needed for Intelligence Center 1. So these two should be your first goal. Do not wait for the Bitcoin Farm in the first weeks: level 1 needs Intelligence Center 2, which needs Security 2, Medstation 2 and Nutrition Unit 2, and construction takes 34 hours. 4. Plan your stash upgrade
Stash 2 needs 2,500,000 roubles and a few tools, Stash 3 needs 8,500,000 roubles. This will be your biggest cash expense early on, so spending money here is better value than an expensive build.
5. Play without insurance
Without insurance, gear does not come back when you die. If you find something valuable, put it in your secure container, and hold off on expensive armor until a task really needs it. See which armor stops which round in the armor chart.
